Sidelights

Post by shemat »

I want to fit mini style headlights with the sidelights built in. I've acquired a pair of the headlights with the glass window for the pilot lamp. I've got bulb holders and bulbs but don't know how the bulb holder fixes in position. Can anyone help please?

The Mini one is part of the assembly that plugs onto the headlamp sealed beam unit as far as i remember!

I wonder if I've got the wrong bits then. I've got sealed beam headlights with a clear glass "window" on the back, and S6005 bulb holder sidelight for xbc103410, at least thats what it says on the packet.

As I remember (Minis all gone now) - the sidelight bulb holder clips on to the headlight electrical connection block.

yep thats how it works, extra metal clip goes in the main light connector to hold the sidelight bulb to the window, just changed my mini over to halogen, these have proper hole in the reflector and generally much better.

" generally much better " - only by about 10,000 % !! With halogens - you can actually see where you are going!
