hi the vulcan has got its permit to fly, although there only enough money in the pot to fly it this year.7 million has been spent on getting it back in the air there have been major sponsers saying that they will put up money but then pull out.i hope that after its first displays tv coverage some more money will come forward.there is a good website vulcan to the sky have a look dale.
the vulcan from southend is taxiable only, this one is the one that the raf used for display services.and it was one of the oldest in the rafs invantry.there has been an extensive inspection programe there are about 7 to 10 years they can ring out of the airframe.i dont think it will be doing the sharp pull up and wing over like they used to.it will be the same pilot though as he is still currant.
East Midlands Today (BBC) have reported today the Vulcan needs some sort of permit or licence to fly at the Waddington Air Show, and this is being awaited.
