Convertible roof Colour

Anyone know what the correct roof colour should be for a Maroon B convertible?

I've seen off-white, red and black.

If you're doing a whole resto, what about a beige hood, with matching leather interior....? mmmmm....

Maroon B was listed as a colour for convertibles from 1967-1969 so I am assuming your car was built during this period ?. Official production records and sales brochures list Pearl Grey as the correct hood colour but black and maroon were used on later 1098cc models as well. (This information is listed in Original Morris Minor by Ray Newell).

If Maroon B was the original colour for your car then maybe it might be worth considering speaking to the records dept at the Heritage Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire who for a fee will provide you with the record of production of your vehicle which should list the original colour on the car.

Of course you may not be bothered about originality in which case my personal opinion is that Pearl Grey looks dirty quickly so Black would be a reasonable choice (maroon would be too much on a Maroon B car). Beige could be nice (as per the original MM Tourer colours) but really it is a personal choice.

Hope this helps
