What kind of carburettor can i use on a 1098 engine with a metro turbo mountet??

Hello Kim,

Ok, why not the Metro turbo carburettor, or else maybe a HS6 S.U.?

What cylinder head are you going to use, the 1098 isn't that good. Also the crank is not that strong either?

Was thinking about the 1098 head... So the crank would'nt hold??

The MG turbo head had sodium filled exhaust valves to cope with the heat - This is something to bear in mind.

Also, because the carb sits after the turbo it needs some mods, IIRC if you use a standard one the fuel is pushed down the jet instead of being drawn up it!

You need the turbo carb, as it has extra sealing to cope with the pressure.

You'll also need a boost-controlled fuel pressure regulator (with a return to the tank), some strengthening work to the bottom end, and a whole lot of other stuff. Most say you need a new axle, and I doubt the gearbox would be happy...

All in all, the cost and hassle has made me give up the idea for now.
