Need sound effects of Morris Minor for film - help please!

Post by lucytune »

We are producing the sound design and music for a minimal budget short film which features a Morris Minor as an important aspect. Unfortunately whoever recorded the sound failed to get any good Morris Minor engine, driving on gravel or other sound effects during the shoot, so we are attempting to do an audio salvage job. The film is to be entered for a festival in Edinburgh at the end of July.

We are based in central London (Pimlico) and near Cherbourg in France, and hope to find a running Morris Minor, which we can record as it drives over a gravel road from various perspectives.

The rough cut (work-in-progress) footage can be found at this url:

Any help/advice/offers would be appreciated.

Thank you

Charles Lucy

Thanks for the info. Kevin.
That sounds like a fun event.
I shall come complete with wife, son and recorder.
Will they allow my little Skoda anywhere near Hatfield House, or will all the car parks be Morris exclusive?
The last time I drove or rode in a MM was my mother's M 1000 twenty odd years ago. ;-)

Charles just come in the main entrance there is a £2 fee and you will find our Rally to the right hand side further up the drive you will see the marshalling tent and as onne says we have a eurobox section as some owners still want to come but have their cars in bits etc, the Rally fee is £6 and just ask for me any time after 10 am.
Cheers

Thank you Kevin and everyone else who helped so admirably this afternoon.
I have edited out the Morris Dancers, Crowds, planes, passers-by, chatter, music + other noises and put the resulting files in this folder:
http://www.lucytune.com/LCR/
to be downloaded to James's studios in France.

I intend to put put a posting here when we have completed the film and have a release date.
Thanks again!
