Yes, I have seen that before, it's quite good isn't it? But the HP ratings are the old RAC ratings which were based on the cylinder bore (for tax purposes) and do not represent the actual horsepower output of the engines.

That's why the old 918cc sidevalve is listed as an 8HP engine and not the correct 27.5 horsepower actual output.

By the way, if anyone is interested I re-worked the old RAC equation for HP and put in the modern efficiencies and other modern engine details (mean piston speed etc.) to bring it from the 1900s to the 1970s! (sad I know) but it's not far out when you look at the spec of the Minor engines!!
