Russel, some info for you......
Went to a local "antique" place today, and the proprietor spotted our Traveller. "Oh lovely cars, proper cars, I used to own one of those". Now where have we heard that before? Anyway, he went on to say that many years ago he went to an MOD auction in Loughborough and bought one of several ex MOD Minor CONVERTIBLES. It had 10,000 miles on the club. He drove it for a few years until a divorce meant that he had to sell it. Most of the cars had been fitted with hand controls.
He was adamant that it was an MOD car, not Dept of Health. The car was blue. Unfortunately he couldn't remember the registration number or other details, but was certain that there was an MOD plate on both the bulkhead and rocker cover.
Make of that what you will, hope it's of use / interest.

Sure is of use .................I assume the auction he refers to is Ruddington (Notts). Many Ministry Minors were purchased via the Home Office, Forrestry Commission were via the MOD!!
So nowt surprises me!!
