1098 sump
still got a sump that wont fit my block, standard 1098 sump is approx; 8mm not wide enough, the cork seal housing needs to be 8mm wider at the top ,also probably deeper, to fit crankshaft journal, ESM, seem to think it may be a austin sprite block , a "10CC" engine which had a bigger crankshaft, does anyone know of an A series sump with a larger than standard seal housing, 1275, anything , i deperate ,the cars stuck in the garage now off the road, no go, imobile, cheers steve

could you not carefully cut the sump and weld in an 8mm strip along the length? grind the welds smooth on the outside and test for leaks with parrafin.
if it don't leak then seal the inside of the welds with gasket goo to be sure?
Just an idea!
