I'm not too sure what he means about bolt-on type. They look like they had been held on with self tappers to me. :o

Talking of the AGM, I hope that if anyone has something to raise, that they have notified the committee of this.

typical, i go abroad for a week and you post the pics! :P
he/she looks fantastic!!!
I had almost solidly decided not to go too wild on the paint for my next project but now im thinking again!!! not too be a copy cat though!

it makes a change to see a paint like this opn somthing apart from a nova/corsa or some other hot hatch.
are you running a standard 1098?

the vid is cracking too but i managed to find somthing :P (theres always one lol) the back doors swing open, and more seriously that filler cap will fail the MOT cos it looks like a flexi cap and they dont lock onto the filler neck so in a roll over the foul does a waterfall impression.

but still absolutly fabulous! I know that your planning on using the van as a daily driver but please keep that condition up as best you can cos its a tribute to the van.

And about the comment for the purists who will hate it...

Good on ya!

I think the same way but i should still have my standard 63 to keep them happy and do DIY devils advocate :D

Glad you like it! It's a he, btw. Go wild!! :D

Yes. Everything is standard late Minor except the paint and disc brakes (and several anti-tealeaf devices).

The doors don't have their fastening latch on yet - if you look you can even see they still have the masking tape round the edges from where aupickup and I fitted them only last Saturday.... Nothing at all is finished yet, the run round the drive was only cos we'd just got the brakes working :D

I do genuinely love all standards of van, from rough-as-you-like to concours, and everything in between 8)

Who cares about sexual stereotypes?

The pink(ish) van (Emrys) is male and the blue car (Fenchurch) is female! ;)

Blimey.
Last time I was on here the only pics you had were obscure 'teaser' photos of bits of panel.

Looks amazing in its complete state. Any reservations you may have had are surely put to bed now.
Who cares about being 'original' when a modern whacky paint job looks this good.
What would Macgyver do..?

when was the last time all types of fans of moggies were nited in thier appreciation and love or a car!!!!! this is excellent. Such a cracking paint job, and to have friends that will drive for 6 hours just to help out speaks volumes for the car/ owner etc.
good stuff. made me smile.
cheers,michael.

That's so niiiiice! :D thank you for your lovely post, michael; it made me smile 8) (personally i think it says more about the kindness of the person willing to drive for six hours etc, but there you go  )

not forgetting the kindness of the person who has repeatedly driven for an hour or so each way 8)

Thanks for your lovely comments too, dunketh, I'm really glad you like the paint :D

i handed over to the tender care of a local accident repair specialist. they had detailed instructions from the guy who designed the paint, on how to apply it. So far it seems they have done a good job 8)

It's pretty high-tech stuff and you have to apply it under quite strict conditions - not really a DIY thing, even if I had any experience of spraying :D
