Welung666 wrote:OK an update..... Coventry City Council who own Millennium Square in front of the Transport Museum are insisting on £5m public liability insurance if we want to park on the square itself, I'm going to speak to Derby tomorrow on the advise of a committee member. However this person pointed out that the insurance that the club can provide will only cover fully paid up members so I'm going to have to be strict about the parking. If you have your membership card and it is valid you will be able to park on Millennium Square, if not you will have to park elsewhere... Simple as that really, harsh I know but I don't want to open the club up to the slightest chance of litigation! Sorry about that folks :(

I did look into getting a 1 day policy to cover a special event/rally and you'd be surprised at some of the quotes I received!!! The cheapest was just over £200 and I won't tell you the highest quote as it was well into 4 figures!!!! :o
I think you will find that there is a copy of the Club's insurance certificate in your branch information pack. if that's any help Lee.

In between working 75 hour weeks and phoning Derby and dealing with the chimps @ Cov City council and running a club register I've not had chance to type one up yet Graham, gimme a couple of days and I'll post it up.

Fingers crossed we now have Millennium Square to park on, just awaiting confirmation! Looking at meeting up between 9:30 and 10:00, do some photo's and meet n greets then into the Museum for a bit. When we are all ready to go I was planning on either Stratford-upon-Avon or Henley-in-Arden for tea/coffee/ice cream/picnic then maybe an afternoon run back up to nearer the start point, maybe the motorcycle museum by the NEC. Sound OK to everyone?

I'm frantically trying to organise a few prizes for furthest travelled and maybe another couple of silly categories.
