Do you need special tubeless valves to fit tubed rims? Cos ATS told me the hole in tubed rims was smaller thad tubeless ones.

You do need special valves. Since they are normally attached to the tube.
I have never had any problem fitting them tubeless to my tubed rims, just make sure you keep an eye on the pressure.

Yes, tubeless valves are larger but fit in the original holes with no problems
provided that the area around the hole is not badly corroded. You would normally fit new tubeless valves each time you replace a tubeless tyre anyway.
