A good set of HSS taps, dies and die nuts is a must if repairing a Minor 1000. UNF, UNC, BSF & BA are all used on the Minor 1000.
There are even some Brass, UN(S) and cycle threads used in a few assemblies of the Minor.
Having a set of thread gauges and the ZEUS data charts and reference tables is most useful.

Don't forget, Phil, the British Standard Pipe Thread for the drain plugs holes and the British Standard Pipe Tapered thread for the plugs themselves. They're fun (especially the latter)!
Regards from MikeN.

Agree. A fantastic tool that I use too.

Stephen
I have a question on the use of the SPQR Tool.
If 8 Clicks sets it for 12thou, how do you set it for 15thou to allow for modern fuel...... 9 clicks???

If 8 click = 12 thou, it must be 1.5 per click
So 15thou would be 10 clicks :tu1:

"15 thou for modern fuels"? (inlet and outlet?) never heard of this until now! Anything else in the 1960's literature i need to update for the 21st century?

Phill has mentioned it several times over the relatively few years I've been on here.
