Absolutely....but if i had a lathe, i'd be turning a few of these out.....They could be sold as part of the club spares stock. ....I'd buy one.. :) There don't seem to be many 'special tools' needed in Morris minor ownership....but this or similar is one where it seems hard to do the job without it..

what is the height of the valve guides if the head was face down on the block?

this idiot here removed all of them without checking :oops:

The height of the valve guide above the valve spring machined seat does not change and is a constant 15.1mm (19/32") for the small bore engines i.e. 12G202 head and 13.72mm for large bore engines i.e. 12G940 head.
Data taken from the BMC Minor wksp man & BL Marina wksp man.
