The verdict was that mine would still pass MOT with its wood slightly rotten.

But I'd like to replace at least one side in the summer for the reasons people state. I am confident on the woodwork side, but not on the drip moulding, nor how to treat the metal found under the wood work (i.e. do I need a spray gun etc).
