Don't worry about that bypass hose, it's the silicone one so different to the rubber ones that are 'feared'.
Mine's done 8000 miles since, no probs..

5 months evidence that there's oil in there somewhere.

For 5 months worth of leaking thats pretty good. I can watch my engine leak! all I do is top it up

If that's five months worth I personally wouldn't bother either. Just check levels regularly.

Hi,
If you mean:

002: Nearside front lower (Trunion) Torque / reaction arm has slight play in a pin / bush

Then I would say that it means it's time to renew you top and bottom Trunion (or King Pin) bushes and the Torsion bar bushes that go through the eyebolt (which passes through the front chassis rail).
It means taking the front suspension apart but it is all perfectly achievable for the home mechanic.
Personally I'd use Poly or Nyloc bushes for longevity and a better feel.
You should find several posts on here that will explain it in greater depth.

That is a terrific photo thanks.

I couldn't decide if the reference was to the lower end of the king pin or the front end of the torsion bar, but you're right, best just do the lot.

Plus new exhaust which has just broken away from the manifold.

Does anyone have experience of fitting the single piece exhaust? If so how much height will I need to feed this through the body? Is an axle stand enough?

If you are replacing the whole exhaust go for one of the stainless steel ones listed with the main suppliers, it costs a little more but they really are fit and forget.

Usually places like KwikFit will order them in for you. Ring a few places. They usually can order am and the part arrives lunchtime same day for fitting.

By simply raising the near side by about 6 inches and still with the wheels on the ground I was able to remove the full length pipe easily.
The fault isn't difficult to spot

Moss, who I can get to easily, have replacements in stock. I forecast a bit of 'working from home' tomorrow morning.

I had that same exhaust problem on the blue minor a few weeks ago, but the fractured bit was still there so I was able to weld it back into place and refit.

Instead an early start for my daughter, a trip to Moss for breakfast and all finished by 10.45

You definitely don't need a ramp to fit the single piece system.
