Headlamp peaks are rather dated don't you think? -----and if you managed to get a nasty cut from them they must be rather shoddy ones. I remember when they were fashionable most had a rounded bead on the front, which made them rigid and cut resistant.

Just had a thought, if you do intend to keep your peaks and you have a dremel type of tool, you could maybe cut a slot down the length of steel brake, or better still, steel fuel pipe, this would then clip over following the peaks curve, it would be more likely to stay put than plastic and not break through. Still think they're dated! Your car though
