The early Series 11s had a square case diff, not the round type shown in the photo. The original would have had a ratio of 5.375:1.
If you upgrade the car by fitting different makes of engines you will lose the character of the car and restrict its potential market

So it sounds like the best thing might be to get this tidied up but keeping to the current spec. I keep this engine as it has only done about 30k.
Outside I think she looks great except perhaps I would need a wing mirror on both sides? The underneath I know is sound but I could get it checked. Perhaps the engine bay could be improved as well?? Maybe convert to unleaded??
.... Just a very good service and checkup by the professionals??

Wing mirrors are an option, would not bother with unleaded conversion until the valves wear out. A tidy up of the engine bay would be worthwhile.
