Re: How many people own a trafalgar blue morris minors
In 2009 when looking for a Traveller I'd seriously considered a buying one Trafalgar blue - got comments from my french family "you can't have a Travalgar blue in France !!! - any way old English cars are always green!!!!"
So I settled for an Almond green but would have liked an ex-military olive green. Still like Trafalgar blue.

Mine's a Trafalgar blue 4 door from 1970 and lives in France. I just don't mention the Trafalgar bit!
In a poor light the colour looks similar to that used by the Gendarmerie.

Wow thats all i have to say !PhilR wrote:I own a '68 Traveller which was my dad's before he passed away last year. Of all the 60-odd cars cars he ever owned, the Morris was his favourite. Hence it has sentimental value as well as being my family's hobby now![frame][/frame]

Found this pic on my laptop - Sgtbilko is right - Trafalgar blue is similar to that used on vehicules of the French Gendarmerie. Perhaps a bit lighter

Re: How many people own a trafalgar blue morris minors
Yes, stag is right, it will be teal blue on a J reg. British Leylands new brighter looking colour schems for the 1970s which only affected the last year of Minor production. Should have a mad '70s colour scheme of limeflower green interior too, whereas the older trafalgar blue cars had a sedate pale blue interior.benson1 wrote:wat colour is this
Not sure I've mentioned it here before, but I have a trafalgar blue traveler too. H reg and in bits... One day soon1

1972 traveller trefalger blue with limeflower interior
Re: How many people own a trafalgar blue morris minors
sorry after just reading a bit i think i might ave teal blue ??????
Re: How many people own a trafalgar blue morris minors
Yes, most probably. The last of the Trafalgar blue travellers was built in July '68 and teal blue was the only colour to have a limeflower interior fitted as standard. It's very similar to trafalgar blue though so don't worry about posting in the wrong thread!

Eric - 1971 Traveller

Difficult to tell Teal Blue from Trafalgar Blue unless you see them together. I have a Teal Blue 1971 MGB GT as well as the Trafalgar Blue Moggy so when they are together the difference is very noticeable.
