Hi Vikki Newton Commercial don't come to our Rally's
They have been to some of the rallies... and at one rally I remember them retrimming seats 'whilst you wait' ! This was however a fair while ago.

Never to busy to say hello!

Ray I think Newton putting on a demo would have been a good idea, but 2008 was the only one I remember them being at for quite a few years. The more traders the better I think :D

That's the question... with hire of van/diesel costs/packing the stuff up you can understand why some simply cannot afford to can't you.

yes this is very true

also of course the traders have to make it worth their while with sales
and i am not sure that all traders find these events cost effective

and i have heard it said from some traders that they can not get the prices asked for some bits, but they do well on ebay

I phoned C.W. on friday to see if they were going to be at the national. They said NO. They were only 15/20 miles away.

It is simply a logistical and financial nightmare for most traders. Its a lot to ask, that we load up and trundle of up north down south etc at huge cost.
Generally traders only attend to give a 'prescence' seldom are costs recovered no matter how high the sales.
The last rallies I saw CW were at Blenhiem and the 60th.
Had we not run the trackday feature at this years rally we would not have attended as traders.

I did think about it, but I thought everyone would think it was a bit "old fashioned" They're pure silk - same as the ties!

Calm down - I never said you were old fashioned! I said I thought people would think a silk hankie would be an old fashioned thing to sell, and I'm trying to sell a few items that will appeal to the younger members like hoodies etc. Tea towels are ok but most people have dishwashers (I said most!) so don't need cupboards full these days. :D

We're trying to put seats in Bella - trouble is the bases we bought at the National sit too far forward - ok for me - HRH has longer legs :o Not enough bolts - then it rains  Want it sorted for Hatfield next weekend! Going to have a BBQ in the kitchen now
