Keen to know how these 'gif's work - can anyone explain it to me ?
It works ok here - but if I paste it to a Word document - it just sits there waiting for the 'right away'. Would also like to know if it can be modified - so it just goes round once - then sits and waits !
they work the same way as normal animations, a number of frames with a set frequency between. You would be able to modify it I'm sure, but would need some specific software. I'll have a quick play on google for you Roy
I can see why it needs a a signal to make it stop. Otherwise like the Ouslam bird it will disappear up its own firebox.
For those who do not know he Ouslam bird is a mythological bird that flies around in ever decreasing circles until it finally vanishes up its own ........
So on balance if you set the signal to go all will be resolved after a few trips and we will be left with an empty track reminiscent of the great Dr Beeching who did so much to make the rail system what it is today.

Although we all hate Dr Beeching - he actually did a good job - business wise. Without his 'axe' - the rail system in Britain could have degenerated to a point of no return!
