There may be some misunderstanding here, so to try to clarify I will take each point in turn.

The committment I was reffering to is not that they must attend the AGM, but that they give their vocal and/or written support if required.

I agree that the AGM is still almost 5 months away. However I recall that when I first started to 'plug' the LEO, some felt that that too was a long way off, being around 8 months. Now it's around 4 weeks away, and some entrants still have a lot of work to do to their cars, myself included  Additionally my understanding was that with the time constraints of the AGM, if individuals issues could be raised with the committee prior to the AGM, and answers received, perhaps it will not be necessary to raise them there.
LouiseM wrote: The site is visited by both MMOC members and non - members. Those members that belong to a branch already have a system in place to enable them to forward their views about the club to the Committee.
Agreed again, but how often are queries raised by a branch and answers received, but due possibly to a lack of communicaion are raised again and again by other branches? This is another reason that I believe the meetings of all MMOC meetings should be posted on the members site and/or published in Minor Matters.
LouiseM wrote: Presumably Bill's liaison role is between the Committee and the members on here who don't belong to a branch, which will be a relatively small number of people.
If any individual is reluctant to approach the Committee direct, I would be very happy liais with the Committee on their behalf. However I think you might be surprised at how many are not branch members.

Again though, if the query and response is not made known to all, it is highly likely that it will be raised again.
LouiseM wrote: Those that aren't MMOC members would, I imagine, not be overly concerned as to how the club is run in any case so probably don't feel the need add to this post.

On the contrary, perhaps if the thoughts they had themselves were raised and satisfactorily answered here, they may well decide to become members.
LouiseM wrote: Those that had comments to make about the National have already made them so there is no point in duplicating them and I'm sure that by now the Committee are generally aware of the contents (the rally organiser has visited the site fairly regularly).
Agreed again, and I have already listed the subjects raised ready for submission to the Committee, so that they are presented formally rather than by word of mouth.
LouiseM wrote: There was a good turnout from the site at last year's AGM and views from here were collated (a month or so beforehand) and forwarded to the Committee. There's no reason to think that there won't be the same level of support this year but it does seem very early to start thinking about the AGM. Do we want a thread that will be running for months that people will get bored with and stop reading? Also if the same few people keep bringing up the same subjects then it could give the impression that personal agendas are involved and might put people off. Far better I think to have a more focused thread nearer the time. I just think that it's a little too early to start a thread on this subject.
Hopefully I have answered all of this in my previous comments.

Anyway I've had my say - off to see Morrissey at Hyde Park (not quite Glastonbury but I'm sure the toilets will be comparable)
What other than Morrisey could it be

Wondered about the idea of a questionnaire being developed.

Showing it on here so people can visit from time to time to see how it's developing?

And/or may we see your list of subjects so we can add our support/comments.

Sorry to re-suggest an idea.

Easier and focussed.

Morris ey

Hope the 2Lou's enjoy it.
