Well I have found 3 firms that will weld these wheels up for me. At the moment I have 2 wheels ready to weld up
Image

Image
After welding it is a case of shotblasting and then painting. Can't make up my mind about painting or powder coating. Which will be the toughest?

Well done Ian - that's pretty much much how mine looks - I see you have the valve hole on the inside too! I wonder if it will be a good idea to drill through the flange from wheel to centre - and 'plug' weld through these holes ? As welll as line welding the edges of the four contact flanges from the centre.
It's a lot of hard work to get to this stage !

I know Roy. One wheel was rivetted, that wasn't too bad. But the other was sort of spot welded and that was a right pain. Cutting the Vauxhall centres out was relativly easy. Got to decide now where to take them for welding.

I would try one - or maybe two, to see how it goes before doing any more!

Yes, I thought that too. What are your thoughts on finishing?

Well - powder coat will be expensive - and it may just hide any cracks that start to develop - so I would just spray them up with a can and see what develops!
