mine is called "pain in the DONT SWEAR OR YOU WILL BE BANNED" on many occasions, but is nick named "miss marple on steriods".
I put ****. I thought **** was an impolite word for a part of the anatomy, not a swear word.
I still call it that anyway regularly.
Thank you for the explanation, though I'm sure most of us knew what you'd put. The swear filter is there to comply with the wishes of the club's committee, and finding ways around it is pretty unhelpful, frankly
Andrew
just for those who spot this later on, in my second post i did not put the full word, I used a ? in it, I did not repeat it in full like I used it the first time. I will not use that word on here again but I stand by my comment that this word is impolite rather than swearing. I personally don't swear much but I do use that word occasionally. Often about that car.
I want to point that out because anybody reading this part of this thread will see the 1st and 2nd alteration and think I put it again in full, and I didn't.
2nd post was an explanation rather than trying to be clever but it was obviously taken as the latter.
Sorry, but substituting a letter in a word that isn't permitted merely makes it plain what you wrote, rather than being helpful. I don't like the filter any more than you do, but it's there for a reason, I'm afraid.
Hi All,
By way of introduction my name's Mick, I live in Burton on Trent, UK and I've just bought my first Minor: a '65 Tourer/Convertible in Smoke Grey.
Well I thought about calling mine Johnny (geddit?) but the wife doesn't like it . Sooo..... I'm open to suggestions, his/her initials are FYC ***C. Any ideas?
Cheers,
Mick
PS Note to self: must change those awful number plates

Hi Mick
Very pretty car
Why not Sissi (..c..c plates)
Empress of Austria and wellknowned movie with Romy Schneider in sixties years.
But your wife perhaps will be "jalouse" when you will say:I go a ride with Sissi !! and prefer now Johnny ....
Dan
Well I thought about calling mine Johnny (geddit?)
No afraid not.
Well FYC is short for Fine Young Cannibals, hang on is that the Johnny link.
Nooo, Johnny Morris; the wonderful chap that used to put voices to the zoo animals in 'Animal Magic' and 'Tales of The Riverbank'
Ahh, fond childhood memories!
Mick
P.S. Thank you for the suggestion and the compliments
