well first a big thank you to bill and lesley for organizing it, it waqs a huge success despite the weather at times, but then it is the lake district :D :D

we all had a great time, awesome scenery and a greta run out especially to kirkstone pass some 1500 ft high and a 20% incline we all managed to get up even if the gearboxes did whine a bit :D :D :D :D

we all had a good bbq on the sunday eve despite bills efforts with his new bbq set :D :D

we went on the steam railway to lake windemere and then a boat trip up to bowness , rained most of the time and many of us headed for the carvery , we then had the bottrip back to the lakeside and then a return trip on the steam train, after which we went to the motor museum

i for one would not have missed this event and am looking forward to next years one

i did 1500 miles all told and the morris went well which is more than can be said for its owner :D :D :D

6 Mine and Andys minors at the bottom of the Wrynose pass, facingwhat was much worse the Hardnott pass. We went first in case Andy had to rescue us!! Much of this was done in first gear with Stevey holding it in gear as I drove

Lesley and I would really like to thank everyone who has sent us a text, e-mailed, phoned, or simply said how much they enjoyed this event, and how they would like to do it again, this really does make it all very worthwhile.

Our best wishes to all.

Bill and Lesley.
