Re: Spotted today.
There was a brown saloon In Bovingdon at just about eight this morning. I do not think they saw me even though I was in my Minor van as I was about three vehicles behind them.

Re: Spotted today.
Anybody spott my snowberry white german registered Traveller LHD coming off the ferry at Harwich last Monday on our way via braintree, Stansted, Hatfield, Hemel Hempstead, chesham, Slough etc on the way to Reading area?
I would perhaps ask for a honk but a lot of drivers do that anyway because I get in the wrong lane at roundabouts....
Off to the channel islands on sunday for a few days before going on to France and home again - wish me luck!

Re: Spotted today.
Thankyou for that. We now have a few days of Jersey behind us with its mostly narrow lanes and then onwards to St Malo - a relief to be driving on the right again. We are now on the Loire estuary near to St Nazaire.
In a wave of uncontrated idiocy I started to fill the tank with E85, fortunately only 2 litres before noticing - thence 22 litres of normal 95. It does not seem to have any effect thank goodness and we did the 200km to here from St Malo with no ill effects. Hopefully this will continue to be the case for the remaining 1000km in two stages before we get home again.
The car parked in the street below has attracted the attention of the locals and I distinctly overheared " C'est un Maurice" as he looked it over- so from now on, this will be its name.

Re: Spotted today.
Well it wasn't today, but last week....
We spent last week in the Cotswolds near Chipping Norton, using the touring Caravan site adjacent to Clarkson's Diddy Squat Farm Shop.
It's a naff little shop, I've seen bigger 'Olde Village Shoppe' but the crowds jam the roads to get to it.
They even turn up on days when it's closed, just to get photos of the sign.
Last Wednesday, the queue was about a mile long, luckily we were heading in the other direction....
That's the power of having a Amazon TV Series.....
But anyway, back to the plot.... every day we were out and about, to go walking the countryside or generally visit places.
During the week, on the open road, we passed a light brown Minor Saloon and a pale blue Tourer on different days, but what I'm posting here is a still actively working LCV related to the very picturesque village of 'Bourton on the Water', which gets packed with tourists.
My wife brought some post cards, mentioning that the village hardware/cycle hire shop on the postcard featured a red LCV outside..... A short while later, while sat outside the pub across the green space from the shop....
. .
Looking at the lighting layout, they've traded up to an older van.

Re: Spotted today.

But you didn't have the postcard to compare with...

We also went in the Cotswold Motoring Museum and Toy Collection. Previously a private concern, it's now owned by 'Boundless by CSMA' (formerly CSMA Club and before that the Civil Service Motoring Association).
They have a 1952 LHD MM Tourer...
The place is totally rammed with cars, and there's very little space left on the walls..... it costs £8.50 each with no discounts of any type (unless you're a Boundless member) but worth it.
We spend almost a couple of hours looking around and barely looked at all the different display cabinets of memorabilia.

Re: Spotted today.
It is a most fascinating little museum isn't it. Another one not far from that area is the "Oxford Bus Museum" - possibly a slightly confusing title as it is actually in Long Hanborough and combined with the Morris Motors Museum which is very interesting and little publicised. Well worth a trip.

Re: Spotted today.
If you are in the area, worth a visit is the bus museum that also houses the morris motors collection.
HANBOROUGH RAIL STATION Yard, Main Rd, Long Hanborough, Witney OX29 6LA, United Kingdom As I posted I was pipped at the post
The Oxford Bus Museum title is because its the history of the Oxford bus company.

Is also worth a visit and not too far if you are going to Gaydon

Re: Spotted today.
So noone spotted my snowberry white Traveller on my trip? Should it be of interest ( which I doubt but well understand) from Vogelsberg to Hoek van Holland, onwards to Reading area, thence to Poole, Ferry to Jersey and later to St Malo, further to St Nazaire region and back home via Sens and Saarbrücken - total 2550 km. Morris behaved admirably until the last 10km in a torrential downpour when the heating to the windscreen did not work.
I love this car!

Re: Spotted today.
Peat brown Saloon spotted on A235 in Purley, Surrey travelling North this afternoon. No photo as I was driving and travelling in the opposite direction. I hooted though. I was in my smoke grey tourer with the top down and a large white German Shepherd Dog in the back.
