Although I’m crying a bit seeing how ‘check brake fluid level’ is on the weekly check list… that’s a mission thanks to my awkward carpets… I’ll need to modify it somehow lol

I would refer you to the Lubrication Diagram I posted, the Brake Fluid level is on there at every 1,000 miles.
Which is the same frequency as several greasing tasks.

You could cut a flap in the carpet, 3 sides of a square over the cylinder, 4th side as hinge. Then stick velcro to floor and back of carpet to secure when hinged back down. Until you get around to renewing your carpets.

Oh every thousand miles sounds a bit more do-able. I managed to cut bigger slits in the top part of the carpet so I can lift it off the pedals a bit easier. I did check levels again today to satisfy myself that there was no leak… and still all good, the level hasn’t moved!

Curiously the Series 2 1000 mile spec for steering greasing was relaxed to 3000 miles for the 1000 model. Though the components stayed the same! This discrepancy cost my Quiz Night team a point at a recent European MOT.
