Thabkyou probobally more now i changed all 6 bolts and have smaller heads than the 4 that were in there

Ps the engine /flywheel/clutch all came as package from running driving a40 hence the wrong manifold for moggie
The dowell holes not line up so suspect fly been redrilled or Esm jobbie
Fact it came from running car lends itself to it all being compatable

most modern cars use loctite bolts on the flywheel, can't see why it wouldn't work on this too but lock wiring would be a good belt and braces measure. I've got a Maestro engine on the stand in the garage I started looking at fitting to our minor, I don't think it's got any dowels, just six bolts on a 65mm pcd with one offset. I was looking at fitting a mx5 gearbox, the mx5 flywheel is also 65mm pcd, so bolts on, plan was to skim the maestro backplate by around 8mm then fit a adaptor plate, other things got it the way but one day I will return to it.
