I can't think of any more things to try. As I said my bronze type gauge, when
the speedo is completely isolated from the dashboard, merely moves from
'rest' to 'empty' with 12v on the 'B' terminal and 0V on the 'T' terminal. It reads 'full' only if the 0V lead is touched to the speedo casing. If yours does not give these results I assume the gauge is faulty as supplying the voltage
direct to the gauge eliminates the sender unit and its wiring.
