Re: Restoration advise, recommendations and call for help
I've recently had the front chassis legs, tie plates and front panel replaced by CW. Service was excellent, I was told about any extras, and for the record the estimate was almost identical to that from another local specialist. Probably could have got the work done cheaper elsewhere, but as others have said in my experience they are honest and fair. Quality of work is very good ( I'm an engineer so have some idea of what I am looking at), and like others I see this as an investment in a cherished asset.

I think the only thing I was sceptical about was the tin catalyst thing that they recommended for my Austin in lieu of a proper unleaded conversion. Seemed like a snake oil remedy, but I left it on and the old girl is still going strong on her original 803 engine

I've dealt with or had friends/family who have dealt with both CW and JLH.
My take away is that both companies are experts in the field, both do excellent work, both are not cheap (good work isn't), both have large numbers of people who sing their praises and both attract occasional criticism.
JLH probably has more experience at extreme performance conversion.
You pay your money and you make your choice. Or you learn to weld
