Separator for HT leads

Not a great first attempt but I think the rubber is too thin, it almost needs to be a rubber / plastic composite. I will have a look at the auto jumble on Saturday. Instead of drilling the guide holes, my local cobbler has agreed to stamp them out for me and has also suggested re soleing material as being thicker, shapeable /shaveable with a sharp blade and abradable to take off any rough edges as well as less liable to deformation.

I made a similar one for the ALTA from an old plastic chopping board. A real bu66er to cut but it should outlast the car.

If you are clever, you can cut an inch off of the one in the kitchen and nobody will know...

There are all sorts of suggestions on the forum at the moment which are to be hidden from the fairer and rather more intelligent gender , otherwise we will find ourselves with our toys taken away and sent to bed without any tea !

Since we've had cylinder heads in the dishwasher, electric toothbrushes for bodywork detailing and chopping boards for lead-seperators, perhaps we should start a seperate thread for suggestions regarding automotive uses for domestic appliances etc...??

Just nipping outside with the Dyson. Need to drain the fuel-tank (NOT REALLY!!!)
