Well done on getting the oil filter leak sorted.
You are right about the thread for the filter 3/4" x 16 TPI UNF.
Apologies regarding the filter link - unfortunately no reference to the thread size in the advert.
The rubber hose between the block and filter housing is a well used mod on performance engines as the metal pipe has a tendency to vibrate at high RPM and may eventually break off the oil filter head from the block.

There may be a requirement to slightly re-align the original metal oil pipe between block and filter head to ensure that the block union does not have any strain on the union and copper washers.
Go the full hog and fit a billet filter head:-

Note regarding the filter head - there are two types fitted which are the same except for the following:-
Pt No: 12A2032 which has a 3/4" x 16 TPI UNF filter thread. The inlet union has a taper thread where it screws into the filter head.
Pt No: TAM2097 which has a 3/4" x 16 TPI UNF filter thread. The inlet union has a parallel thread which is best sealed with a Dowty washer.

Re: oil filter leaking
Remote filter head and chuffing great big filter canister. Even bigger ones can be put on there!
I used to manufacture the adapter that bolts to the block but sold them all years ago. Makes oil changes easier and removes the metal pipe.

Rob
I use the same remote filter head with very large screw on filter. A take off plate (similar to the one in this link https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/mo ... s-m-top-1d) at the original Marina filter position and the two connected by similar hydraulic hoses.
https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/mo ... ht-m-rfh3b
As the Marina oil filter is upside down and would drain all over the engine when undone it enables a much easier and cleaner oil filter change with more filtration capacity and being remote enables the oil filter to be placed in the airstream.
If 1275cc Midget oil filter Adapter(riser plate) Pt No:- AEA657 is used a longer oil filter can be utilised on a Minor engine in its near original position.
Here is the link to the FRAM web site and a search will give the size and thread of various oil filters.

Nice split Longman type DCOE conversion.
