We run 15" 165/80 road tyres on the trials car.
The reason for running on LPG is it is not affected by incline or decline so the engine always has power no matter what angles we achieve.
Also it give a lot softer and smoother power delivery, and outright power is not a factor.
Also as no great distances are covered we run on a butchered 4kg propane bottle from the gas man.
I was a Race mechanic for 25 years, and I rallied all sorts but this trialling is a whole new ball game and it feels like some kind of black art that I know nothing about.
