If you are going to convert the wipers from one system to another then the position of the spindles is relavent, unless you want to drill holes in the body

I must have confused you with the title! I have discovered that the driver side wheel box was upside down and therefore the wipers were behaving like a post 63 wiper system, working in parallel rather than in clap hands motion!!
