I would love to see the series 2 register, as I am sure many other series 2 traveller owners would too, I hope Mark Howard brings it to the national one year, would be nice to meet him, I have seen his car, but not met him yet! :D
My 1956 Series 11 Traveller! Bought when I was 17 (1985)....sold 6 years (1991) later......bought back 9 years after that! (2000) With 6 different owners in the middle, what a lucky boy I am!

I was led to believe that the 20 refers to cheese grater travellers separately from the facelift ones.

Ps the burgundy one is not in UK anymore.

You need to add my S2 to the list as well, as it is not on any of those photographs above. Mine is a 1954, but I think that I read that there were 50 ish left worldwide if that is any help?

Is it a cheesegrater or a later one any chance of a photo?

ALSO note the body numbers too(?).
I am making a note of as much information as I am able to collect, however if anyone would not mind providing me with details of body numbers/ chassis numbers e.c.t. I would be entirely grateful and then I may be able to accurately report on the number of Series II travellers, instead of waiting to hear from the Series II traveller register (which was sent an e-mail last Monday and is yet to give any signs of a response).

DAVIDMCCULLOUGH wrote:George my traveller details are,

Its build date was 19-21st September and despatched 24th September 1956, chassis no FLJ 11 / 448647 and only another 27 series 11 travellers were made after this and another 60 odd series 11s in total.
David, I took the plunge and ordered a Premier Heritage Certificate. I now have a bit more history
Build Date: 28 August 1956, Despatch date: 6 September 1956, Chassis No.: FLE11/429968, Body No.: 20532.
So not that near to the end of production [colour was originally Empire Green - now more like Almond Green].
Now that I have the Body Number, I note it does not tally with the right-hand bulkhead strip No. of Z 20098.
What is that number?
Can POMMreg throw some light on this?
George.

OK. Now can the Registrar tell us how many Series II and Face-lift Series II Travellers are currently registered?
Seems pointless having a Register if no-one gets to see the results!
What is the total Headcount of Split-Screen Travellers?
What are the numbers broken down to "cheesegrater" and "horizontal bar" grilles?
George.

Ian, it wasn't my thread, but Qwerty's - I think David and I may have already done the hi-jacking
The original thread was about "how many Cheesegrater Travellers ..." - David and I have the Face-lift Series II ones.
Regards, George.

Is there also a body number (B) change point quoted alongside
the chassis number (C) change point at the "Cheesegrater" to
"Horizontal Grill" switch?

Please keep supplying your body numbers!

When I handed over the register to Mark in the 1990s there were around 20 cheesegraters and 200 later ones on the lists but even at that point some of those had ceased to exist. I know Mark tried to start again from scratch via appeals for info in Minor Matters but had little response initially.
Now we have the internet ,this messageboard and easier means of contacting overseas Minor clubs maybe in this the 60th year of the Traveller we could initiate a worldwide appeal for all owners of S11 Travellers to contact the MMOC with details and photos of their cars.

Good Idea Bryan, I think most of the series 2 traveller owners are interested, the ones I have met and have spoken to on here certainly are. I think some serious delving is in order :D
