That is a complete carb rebuild kit, most of which you will not need. Refit the original carb and check for any leaks. Unless it is dripping fuel off the end of the choke arm I would not worry. If it is running too rich then slacken the needle in the piston and pull it down a fraction which should weaken the mixture.
Meanwhile you can look for a 2nd hand HS2 for a lot less than £200 and less likely to drip.

I've just taken a HS2 off my car, if you want to buy it.
'Rebuilding' a carb is an easy job though, if you already have the kit. It took me a lazy afternoon to do a HIF44, though it does have less parts.
Mostly it's just replacing a few gaskets and rubber seals and the jet + valve. Take plenty of photos of the complicated bits and you will have no trouble just putting it back together the way you took it apart, and if you get really stuck there are decent diagrams on the internet.

Does the carb look worn around the jet??
If so would carb overhaul kit be useless as the aluminium is worn??

Completely normal - but the jet looks v slightly oval - which also happens over time. I say again - DO NOTHING. Edge the needle down v slightly in the piston - and check/lower the fuel level slightly.

Good glass that's normal, I am listening to all your advise and taking it all in. You have saved me £200
Upon seeing the jet like that I have found out that the choke doesn't come off %100 if you push jet up yourself it will move a further millimetre, almost like the last bit is tight. Perhaps I have adjusted mixture to compensate the choke being on a little?

Start again. Unscrew the fast idle screw so that it is clear of the cam. Wind the mixture nut down two complete turns and mark one flat for reference. Adjust the tickover screw so that the engine does not stall and wind the mixture nut up or down a flat at a time until the engine runs smoothly. Reset the tickover screw if necessary and adjust the fast idle screw so that it is just touching the cam

I have completely stripped the carb today and have discovered that one cork washer had totally disintegrated! Perhaps that's where the excess fuel gas gone!! I am now soaking cork washers in oil and will be rebuilding carb tomorrow

If it wasn't leaking externally - then no. They pretty much always disintegrate fro distant memory! Make sure you centre the jet correctly on re-assembly.

I bet you think I am mad for stripping my carb, and if my car was just a weekend car then I would of left it alone. but I am using it daily and it would of mithered me until I did something about it.

Yes it is! It's of my very first minor! Where is that return spring supposed to go? When I picked my car up last week, it had a spring from the throttle to the inner wing!

On my Minor the throttle return was attached to the shock absorber arm, so when I went quickly round a corner I'd have very odd throttle response :?
