Thats very unfortunate for the bonnet to get wrecked, I had one blow up on me once while driving :o

Well, a wee bit later than hoped, my faithful convertible returned to the road last Friday after a long rest of some 18 years. There are a few niggly problems to sort out and a bit more fitting out to be done (bonnet flashes, door seals etc.) but I needed to get some miles in before the MOT trip to France next week and our extended jolly into Switzerland and Italy. Had forgotten just how much fun she is to drive and now hoping for a blazing summer to get the best out of her. :-)[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

brilliant to hear your on the road and only a few things to sort, i like the look of the clear front lenses, nice touch and i hope the weather is good for you so you can enjoy the way a convertible should be enjoyed :D

Kind Regards

Scott

Cheers Scott. I originally wanted the period smaller lights at the front but forgot to mention that before the wings were sprayed so the clear lenses at the front are a bit of a nod towards that. Also, the later rear lights were really for safety and because I didn't want to have to add separate indicators on top of the earlier rear light. by the way, the interior is just a temporary fitting until the 'real' interior arrives :-) True to form it is now throwing it down here with thunder and lightning!!! so much forr two hours with the hood down

sorry to hear that the weather hasn't held up for you and i agree the smaller front lights look nicer but i too will be going for the clear lenses and the back lights for safety is very sensible :)
