Mort a 69 traveller is my daily drive, rain or shine.
Does the school run and my 2 girls love it as do all
their friends.

Yes, I have the standard drum brakes, and they are top of my list of thing to do (convert to disks)linearaudio wrote:^^^^ I'm intrigued that you say your Moggy wouldn't be practical for your Wifes (mainly local) journeys. Exactly what the old District Nurse would have used it for-easy to drive, great visibility, good turning circle, particularly in these FWD days! And economicalish and DIFFERENT!! Only thing against it being the .........dare I say it......... standard brakes
The brakes aren't bad if they are properly maintained! With all wheel cylinders free and the brakes properly bled and adjusted, Minor 8" front brakes can lock the wheels in the dry under hard braking.kingzdjc wrote:Yes, I have the standard drum brakes, and they are top of my list of thing to do (convert to disks)linearaudio wrote:^^^^ I'm intrigued that you say your Moggy wouldn't be practical for your Wifes (mainly local) journeys. But to be honest, as long as you keep your distance from other cars (measured in miles lol) you do get used to the bad brakes (sort of)
True, maintainance is key, but even mine, whilst well maintained, still arent thst great tbh. I have driven a Minor with disks, and you can tell the difference.chickenjohn wrote:The brakes aren't bad if they are properly maintained! To many folks blame the standard brakes design when the problem is really maintainence.
