UPDATE......my old Dad just phoned, said he looked out of the window, and the Minor was gone, but it had been there all morning. He got into his car to go up town, drove round the corner, and it was parked there, no more than 200 yards away! even more curious.............

Perhaps it's parked there during the day so someone can catch a bus into town rather than pay for parking. We have a lot of cars round here that are left in roads during the day. They seem to always park in the same place - so if you don't go out at night you would think they haven't moved.

Aha.....never thought of that. My old mum and dad are in their 80s, and never venture out at night at all, indeed they go to bed around 10 at night!
