Hi - are you going to the national? Your posts are only showing as an hour out on my PC - did you remember to change your watch when we changed to british summer time? :D If you go to your 'user control panel' at the top left of this page, click on 'board preferences' and scroll down to 'my timezone'. It should show [utc] western european time, greenwich mean time. If not, change it, and it should do the trick. If it doesn't work, perhaps the clock on your pc needs changing.

Good luck Hazel and Dale.

Putting battery back in car thisafternoon.

Will be checking the charging issue and resolving it, hopefully.

Will be hoping to 'prop' the dynamo up and tighten fixing bolts.

Is anyone screaming 'Noooo'?

Dynamo adjuster bracket is being sorted by the MMOC cavalry :D

Lucky me.

Not sure about National this year.

Looking for the next rally after that.

yes - has had some major heart (engine) surgery, but engine is now in fine health, and rest of car fixed* deemed MOT worthy 2nd round time...

I'm still wondering if the dynamo will start behaving now that the sticky brushes have been fettled! (I really hope so!)

If so, then as part of running in procedures can you fit my 'olde-car' toolbox in boot** and pay us a visit in sunny/rainy Warwickshire? I'm hoping to service Norton this weekend as we're off on MOT UK the weekend after. 8)

Ever optimisticaly, Ray.

* Brakes, brake pipes and flexi, side lights, tyres, wheel bearing,

** - ask a strong/robust bloke for help. I've not forgotten that you did your back in just trying to move the toolbox :o

Really glad you got back ok Dale. Well done to get such a good little car.

HUT not quite back on road. Trying to source a dynamo bracket. Might have one sourced, but not 100%.

So near and yet so far..........
