Re: Dashboard Lights
Isn't the wire from the voltage stabiliser to fuel gauge missing?

Re: Dashboard Lights
Where should it be in the photo above Mike. I wonder if this is why the gauge has never worked correctly. If I fill the tank the gauge only goes to half way.mike.perry wrote:Isn't the wire from the voltage stabiliser to fuel gauge missing?

Re: Dashboard Lights
There should be a male spade connector with a light green wire connected between the spare v/s terminal and the fuel gauge

Re: Dashboard Lights
Check earths, the star nut is non-standard, as members have said the bulbs are unlikely to both go - check the wiring. You will have to do some detective work here with the sidelamps switched on but it really isn't difficult. For instance, the headlamp switch is directly below the speedo so check the wires coming from that.

What's the impact of it missing ?mike.perry wrote:There should be a male spade connector with a light green wire connected between the spare v/s terminal and the fuel gauge
Re: Dashboard Lights
Why are you so reluctant to look at a wiring diagram and think these things out for yourself? You'll learn a lot more than if someone spoon-feeds you every time.

I agree - Barry's excellent colour coded wiring diagram at the top of this section is very handy indeed. Laminate a copy and keep it in the car! No light green link to gauge suggests the gauge won't be working!!
