Yes I enjoy doing boxes too. I have only done 4 mini boxes however, my wife's 1275 GT with 3.4 drive, a 998 Cooper Mk1 and two 848 with 4.1's and none of these in recent years. One of the last one's was for a mate who had inherited a 999cc engine with accompaning race head and cam (can't remember which) and 45DCOE. I can't remember which combination of block and crank however but it was very short stroke (he previously had a formula junior engine but that was totally knacked). Once installed the car flew, this was the only mini engine I ever saw fly straight to over 9,000 rpm without complaint but this was 1968 or 1969 and things have moved on a tad :)

Well - the Mini boxes I did were mostly straight cut conversions! I sold my 970 S engine to Morspeed - he fitted a BMW bike head to it - and it's now racing in Sri Lanka![frame]Image[/frame]
