You 'adjust' the spring by the amount of pre-tension you set when fitting the needle. To get another identiacl speedo you look at the model number and the TPM number on the face, and the look at the many speedos on ebay until you see one with at least the same TPM. That's the number that matters.

i took the speedo all apart, and there apears to be no way of 'adjusting' the spring, of coarse i can try to unbend it i guess, but that isnt very accuarate.
can you suggest an accurate way to unbend/loosen the spring?
