Bullet ends are just done by running the guide against a grinding wheel! They are not that wonderful - only really important when much other work has been done to the head. Should NOT be done to exhaust guides - they need all the help they can to conduct heat away from the valve stem - the bullet thing is only for inlets.

If you are going to employ an engineer why not get him to put bullet ends on the guides before he fits them?
All part of the plan don'tyouknow.
