'clack' noise

Thanks for the ideas: the front chassis legs are new, the damper is secure, eye bolt bushes new, master cylinder bolts correct, horn held correctly - it's a metallic clunk - metal on metal sound - only occurs when the front right suspension is loaded (ie hits a pothole).

I will check the torsion bar washer again - but think it's right since I had this off to level the car & it made the noise both before & after: will check the washer is there.

well there is not a lot left now

double check the bolt that goes through the tie bar and yolk
mine was worn and took me ages to discover it
fitted a new bolt and clonk gone
and mine only happened when it went over a big bump
normal driving ok

Are we talking about the same thing? There is an adjuster plate for levelling at the end of the rear arm. There is also a washer on the very end of the torsion bar itself. It's the second one I meant. Not sure if you need to remove this completely to level the car - but I'm usually wrong :lol:
