Gentman,you have been warned,don't do it,I am a recently retired police officer and know of several cases which went to court in exactly the same circumstances. and as others have said, then TRY to get insurance with a conviction for insurance offences,If this is the only way to get insurance ,only drive the car at a week end and only for social ,pleasure or domestic use,then you will be ok.The worst case,what would hapen if ,god forbid,you hit someone and cause serious injury or death,and your insurance was found to be void(Thats the first thing the insurance company look at to avoid paying out a claim). The other party would sue you for several thousand pounds of damage,you could be then paying out for years ,def.not a good idea. Nobody here is having a go at you,I know its hard for young drivers my kids had the same problems as you,we are just trying to look after your best interest. Cheers.
