Working on that basis I should get all the rusty old panels I cut out and start sticking them back on the chassis!!

I see your point though, I just dont think its really worth all the fuss of fitting some enormous engine when a 1275 A series is spot on.....

Ultimate rust cure for your moggy....paint it brown, at least that way you dont notice the rust as much!!

Working on that basis I should get all the rusty old panels I cut out and start sticking them back on the chassis
Funny innit? You have to agree, a non-standard 1275 is a better fit than some replacement panels :lol: :lol:
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

From what I've seen, just about any engine would fit better than some modern panels :(

While I'm not into different engines, I reckon light as possible sounds good! Combination of pinto and type 9 would surely upset the spring load at the front a bit!

I've got an agrement for a 1275 now, so I will be going down that route for the trav.

Maybe in a few years I'll try and make a balls out screamer of a car....

Just stuff a supercharger on the side- that should scream enough!

What road are you going down for the gearbox/ axle ratio?
