I understand the thing about under 30, I think what Andy is doing is more like a survey as to see how the new generation's coming not to esclude over 30s as I'm sure there r over 60s who have modified Minors but it's nice to see young people getting involved in Minors and to know how many there are
Darn it, last year I could have put myself on this post, but this year it's too late - I'm clearly old and past it. ;)
Mind you, we did get ID'd buying wine a few weeks back (with our entire weekly shop! I blame my hoodie - I think I look like some kind of loutish youf in it ) - does that count *grins*

21 as of Sunday, on my third Morris and hope to have it on the road this summer!
Now I'm just waiting for some slightly warmer weather to get the underside completely painted and the suspension fitted up. Then I can start prepping for paint and build up the engine and running gear.

Great news. After posting on 4 messageboards yesterday I have so far found 119 classic car owners (or seekers) under 30. Thats definitely enough for a good rally!
I do hope that this does not mean that over 30's are banned, The Club caters for all ages and particular areas of interest, and I started the original thread of encouraging younger members to join, to ensure its secure future.

Yes I could do with an insurance for a secure future as I am sharing Kate's misery - well not really as I do not own a commie bike - but well again ;-)
perhaps we could divide my age by the number of minors I own...

As I said in one of the first posts I didn't really want to put an age limit on it but I have just used 30 as a starting point to get a rough idea of how many 'younger' members there are.
I put it on all of the forums so that we didn't have too many people asking and so I didn't constantly get comments like 'I'm 80, I feel young' etc...

Right just to clarify Andy's point's from an old's point of view to avoid any more confusion from other old's.
Andy is just testing the water to see what sort of input he can get from the younger enthusiasts from both sexes as to what they would like to get out of a car event and then do a form of brainstorming for ideas, location & what to put on, firstly to appeal to the younger ones until they have some sort of workable format and then ask for help or advice in organising the event if they need it (probably not) then open it up to everyone.
Thinking about it that's a complete reversal of the way most events are organised currently
Well done Andy.
Cheers

I did realise that Kevin, but for other 'olds' like yourself and because of the way the post sounded i.e.

and bearing in mind what happened previously when I personally launched a similar thread on behalf of the Club, which unfortunately received little or no response, I thought I would get clarification

Thanks Kevin.
Sorry for causing any worries or confusion.
Anything that I organise (if I do) will be open to anybody of any age I'm just checking if it's worth organising things based around young people, and finding where the best location would be.
