I bet you Masie could do it ... admittedly I'd need a couple of miles of rope and quite a few pulleys, but I betcha it can be done :wink:

With enough mechanical advantage even a child could pull that tank (even if every bearing in the tank is seized.) I'm currently devising a way to move our house inland when the sea levels rise using our pets to pull it.

Friction in the system would start to become a problem as you added more rope and pulleys.

I have to say that I'd be more inclined to use a pulley system hooked up to a drive belt hooked to another pulley system. It starts to get a little complicated... does the tank need to be moved anyway? I like it where it is :P
