I would worry about the longevity of the gear drive set-up!

I see from the MED site that you get a gear drive kit as well now.

Providing they've been hardened correctly & the engine oil is good I would'nt of thought they should wear too much. I know of a few modern engines that use gears & belts for the camshaft drive
