Sigh!! Ok then can anyone supply me with a measurement for this turned up bit please? If you could measure, say from the inside of the front crossmember to the start of the turned up bit and the length of the bit to turn up. Spent ages getting that bit of the chassis nice and flat!!! Thanks for the advice
Just measured mine and.... Starting from the back edge of the engine mount there is 1" of gradual turnup to the verticle, then 4" of verticle turnup, then 1" of gradual turndown to the flat.... Hope this makes sense !!

Sorry Croft, I suppose though it's better you find out now than just as you lower the BMC lump in after the spray job. I'd imagine the fake laugh followed by the "bleep" "bleep" "bleep" then watery eyes would be similar to when I fitted the wrong "bleep" "bleep" "bleep" swivel pin.croft wrote:Sigh!! A quick crunch of the nadgers in a cast iron vice usually brings you back to your senses.

the left one is a half leg - according to the join visible in the photo.Did you replace entire chassis legs or use the 32" repair sections?

Yes ! Sorry Stag, didnt notice your question in there! I replaced the L/h or pass side chassis leg with a 32" repair section. It was really only the front back to the eyebolt mounting that was rotten. Still took a lot of nerve to cut the old one out! much measuring and checking before I set about it with the cutting disk!
